📋 Description

• Develop and execute a content marketing strategy aligned with business goals, SEO and brand • Manage the content calendar end to end • Ensure content quality, consistency and brand alignment • Collaborate with the web team to optimize content for search and AI engines • Monitor and report content-program KPIs • Use analytics tools to identify improvement opportunities • Align messaging for integrated campaign support across channels • Work closely with marketing, product and brand teams • Communicate company news and announcements • Manage perception of Canonical and its products • Report to the Director/Head of Communications and partner with Product Management, Alliances, Sales and Marketing teams

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and work across cross-functional teams • Familiarity with communications and content strategy, including applied knowledge of content marketing and social media • Proven experience creating authoritative and engaging content, or leading large-scale brand campaigns • Portfolio of written work required • Strong strategic thinking grounded in consumer insight, audience awareness, and brand understanding • Passion for messaging quality and written communication • Technical curiosity and interest in software technology and its challenges • Data-driven approach to communications and content, including measuring and presenting business-relevant results • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university • Business-level written and spoken English • Sincere personal motivation aligned with Canonical’s mission • Willingness to travel internationally 2–4 times a year for company events lasting up to two weeks • 2–7 years of experience in a relevant field • Applied knowledge of AEO/GEO and SEO preferred • Experience in B2B technology marketing, communications or related fields preferred • Experience developing content marketing or communications strategies for enterprise technology products preferred • Experience with project management tools such as Jira preferred
