📋 Description

• Support development of communication strategy and strategic outreach relationships with government, interfaith, media, and community leaders • Establish relationships between key opinion leaders and Church leaders aligned with area priorities • Develop, maintain, and prioritize key contact lists across the area • Prepare materials and gifts for high-level meetings • Record interactions in the CONNECT Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool while adhering to data privacy laws • Train national and local communication councils on outreach efforts • Obtain required permissions for visits with heads of state • Monitor and report issues related to religious freedom and legislative matters • Identify opinion leaders for religious freedom symposia and assist with event organization • Inform leaders and influencers on relevant issues • Develop prioritized journalist lists and coordinate messaging with headquarters • Provide spokesperson training and develop aligned speaking points • Serve as a contact for selected national or coordination council communication councils • Lead development of public affairs materials, including press releases, articles, position papers, training materials, and speeches • Respond to media inquiries and prepare stories for worldwide media • Conduct research and evaluation for public relations initiatives • Review and analyze social, political, and economic trends • Develop training materials for priesthood leaders, public affairs directors, and missionaries • Develop crisis management plans

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education/certificate in a communication-related field, such as public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, government relations, international relations, political science, or social science • 4 years of public relations experience • A combination of education and experience for a total of 8 years may be considered • Experience in executing strategic outreach plans • Strong experience with a wide variety of communication channels • Ability to think critically and solve problems • Experience utilizing research methods and strategies to address practical problems • Excellent writing and editing skills in the local language • Ability to function in a team setting and collaborate with other members of the area team • Competency in the use of technology, including the Microsoft Office product suite • Willingness and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in a team environment • Advanced level English skills (preferred) • Master's degree (preferred)
