📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines used by every engineering team • Build and maintain observability and monitoring tooling for production debugging • Build local development environment tooling for production-like conditions • Identify and resolve infrastructure friction at its root • Debug complex issues spanning CI/CD, observability tooling, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure • Contribute to the platform roadmap and backlog • Build and maintain a paved road for Cast AI engineers to deploy and operate services • Support internal engineering teams through platform tools serving hundreds of engineers and dozens of services

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean abstractions, maintainable code, and architectural justification • Production experience with Go strongly preferred; candidates without Go should demonstrate strong systems programming skills in a comparable language • Experience building and operating platform engineering systems, including most of CI/CD and GitOps systems, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, observability and monitoring tooling, and cloud platforms • Experience with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows • Personally driven a complex project end-to-end • Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills • Strong English skills, verbal and written • Startup mindset; adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity • Participation in on-call rotation for teams that require it • No visa sponsorship or work permit provided • Nice to have: Kubernetes operators, Helm chart authoring, admission webhooks • Nice to have: Internal developer platform design, including golden paths, self-service tooling, and service catalogs • Nice to have: Local development environment tooling such as devcontainers, Tilt, or Skaffold • Nice to have: Kubernetes or cloud-native OSS contributions
