đź“‹ Description

• Provide effective leadership and management at a college site for 14–19-year-old students • Deliver safe and secure education provision for students with complex needs and behaviours • Teach a vocational qualification • Teach a minimum of two days per week and fulfil leadership and management responsibilities for three days • Build effective, supportive relationships with students and families/carers • Manage, implement and monitor the timetable • Deploy teachers and support staff effectively and efficiently • Oversee and coordinate development of subject areas • Plan, produce and update schemes of work in line with curriculum, inspection and accreditation requirements • Manage and analyse performance data and report to the Centre Manager • Address areas of underperformance • Lead improvements in teaching and learning through observation procedures • Manage contribution reviews and set individual and team performance targets • Manage direct reports and address staff underperformance • Support staff training and development

🎯 Requirements

• A recognised QTS qualification (or willing to work towards) • Designated Safeguard Lead • Experience working with young people, including those with complex needs, high behaviour and additional learning needs • Line management experience, setting KPIs and conducting regular supervisions • Extensive knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies • Ability to personalise learning to support all learners in achieving their potential • Driving licence and ability to drive as part of the role
