📋 Description

• Assist with permit research and applications for governmental, quasi-governmental, and utility bodies • Monitor application progress and facilitate jurisdictional requests for additional information • Receive and accurately enter incoming work from email, PDFs, paper, FTP sites, and customer databases into online database software • Research permitting requirements with utility providers and local stakeholders • Gather required field data for permit entity requests • Submit and receive railroad, DOT, pole, and other permits • Track permits on required projects • Receive, review, and submit subcontractor invoices for approval • Track subcontractor invoices through the process and enter them into Pods • Scan field notes and maps as requested • Compile and enter data to create necessary reports • Promote the company image through sound and ethical business practices and ensure satisfactory customer service and quality • Perform other duties or special projects assigned by Field Engineering Leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 2-year degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent field of study preferred • Production-based utility permitting experience preferred; Cable TV experience strongly preferred • Knowledge of Cable TV design and basic construction practices of Cable TV systems • Ocalc, Span Master, ruling span, and NJUNS software experience • Experience utilizing NJUNS (National Joint Utilities Notification Software) strongly preferred • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams • Experience with Access or easy-code databases such as Quickbase is a plus • Ability to update and/or create PDF maps for permits using Bluebeam or a PDF editor • Keen attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies • Customer service mindset • Ability to multitask, handle interruptions, and prioritize workloads while remaining productive • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to take direction and work independently • Willingness to learn, adapt, and accept increased responsibility • Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a remote location • Ability to embrace corporate values, understand the company mission, and exemplify CCI leadership behaviors • Must be flexible and willing and able to work outside normal business hours as necessary
