📋 Description

• Carry out portable appliance testing across a range of commercial sites • Complete minor remedial works where required • Produce accurate test reports for quality checking by the Technical Manager • Work closely with the Technical Manager and Operations team • Use bespoke testing software designed for speed and efficiency • Work across facilities management, retail, commercial, education, council and local authority sites • Help identify improvements to testing software and processes • Work from a home base in Newcastle and surrounding areas • Travel regionally to commercial sites; work is not guaranteed to be local • Work solely on commercial sites, not domestic housing work

🎯 Requirements

• A recognised electrical qualification or equivalent PAT testing qualification, preferably as a time served tester • Proven experience testing through and through • Proven ability to work safely in accordance with company policies and safety legislation • Dedication to keep up to date with current legislation and undertake training as required • Ability to work 40 hours per week • Willingness to work out of hours or weekends when required by client access and site type • CV and covering letter required for application

• Bonus of £0.15 per item for 325+ items, rising to £0.25 per item for 375+ items, and £0.35 per item for 425+ items • Overtime paid at £0.40 per item from the 1st test for weekend work and hours over 40 per week • All visual tests count as half an item for bonus and overtime purposes • Pension • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, including the Christmas shutdown • Hybrid company car • Kit and clothing provided • Overtime opportunities available • Genuine scope to progress as the business expands • Training as required
