• Lead and support planning, scheduling, and execution of full life cycle commissioning for critical facilities • Conduct on-site inspections, validation, functional testing, troubleshooting, and vendor/contractor direction • Participate in factory witness testing and startup activities using appropriate technical equipment • Manage timelines, identify risks, and help develop mitigation strategies • Assist with team onboarding, mobilization, and project updates • Oversee pre-construction activities, including project initiation, kickoff meetings, RFIs, submittals, and resource/material forecasting • Develop and manage project schedules; lead and coordinate project meetings and staffing needs • Execute or oversee QA/QC, pre-functional and functional testing, startup, cutover, and project closeout • Onboard project teams, prepare progress reports, and lead final commissioning reports for clients • Create commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test scripts • Review design documents, drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and sequences of operation • Contribute to commissioning-focused design reviews • Support project communication and reporting for internal and external stakeholders • Manage personal hours using company tools • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, vendors, owners, designers, subcontractors, trades, and client teams to test, validate, and operate systems
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in commissioning, construction management, or MEP systems within mission-critical or critical facility environments • Prior experience leading full life cycle commissioning projects, including design review, functional testing, and project closeout • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and staffing on complex or programmatic projects • Experience working directly with owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades in a construction or commissioning setting • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls system principles • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize operational processes • Ability to work successfully in remote and field environments with effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements • Ability to analyze and prepare technical documents, reports, and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication of technical and non-technical information • Ability to communicate directly with clients and serve as a primary point of client contact • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines • Ability to effectively plan and delegate others’ work • Ability to obtain NFPA 70E / OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications as required • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to rent vehicles • Must be located near a major airport • Must be able to travel up to 75% domestically, including any or all 50 U.S. states • Must possess a valid REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for domestic air travel from May 7, 2025 • Must be able to meet physical demands including frequent movement through critical facilities, stairs, ladders, tight/confined spaces, and occasional handling of equipment up to 50 pounds • Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), or equivalent industry certification preferred • Prior supervisory or project team leadership experience preferred
