📋 Description

• Own DPRK and China attribution end to end, including threat actors, entities, accounts, addresses, and infrastructure • Lead attribution responses to DPRK- and China-related sanctions events • Trace stolen and illicit funds through mixers, cross-chain bridges, no-KYC swaps, OTC brokers, and off-ramps • Produce finished intelligence, advisory notes, customer and partner briefings, and publication contributions • Represent Chainalysis as an external expert at conferences, panels, press engagements, and public- and private-sector briefings • Set the DPRK and China collection agenda and direct domain collection priorities • Translate DPRK and Chinese typologies into operational detection guidance • Design and tune AI automation for analysis and handle complex cases • Raise team expertise in DPRK, China, and money-laundering tradecraft • Collaborate with analysts, threat-domain SMEs, data scientists, and engineers across time zones

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, demonstrable DPRK and/or China expertise • Direct on-chain tracing experience against DPRK or China targets, or threat-finance expertise paired with blockchain-tracing skill • National-security or threat-finance background in intelligence, sanctions, counter-threat-finance, investigations, law enforcement, military, research, or private-sector CTF/sanctions work • Strong understanding of DPRK and Chinese illicit-finance ecosystems and regional money-laundering flows • Exceptional aptitude, judgment, work ethic, and proven record leading complex problems end to end • Excellent writing and communication skills for analyst, customer, and senior audiences • AI-forward approach to building automation • Comfort working with data • Blockchain forensics experience strongly preferred • 5+ years of relevant analytic, intelligence, or threat-finance experience for Senior hire; 8+ years and recognized domain authority for Staff hire • Mandarin and/or Korean language ability is a significant plus • Direct OFAC sanctions or designation-process experience is an additional advantage • Published research or public speaking on relevant DPRK or China crypto threats is an additional advantage • Familiarity with cross-chain bridge and mixer laundering, guarantee marketplaces, or Chinese OTC and underground-banking networks is an additional advantage • Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions • Must answer whether current or future employment sponsorship is required
