📋 Description

• Architect the robot operating system and define abstractions for robots, cameras, tools, jobs, work planning, dispatch, shared state, and failure handling • Decide which components belong in Python versus Rust • Integrate computer vision algorithms into the robotics control loop for part finding, centering, pick checking, and placement checking • Build production-ready agentic robotics capabilities using large models for part programming, pick evaluation, fault diagnosis, and recovery • Route multiple movers without collisions or deadlocks • Coordinate gantries, printers, and ovens • Design interfaces between high-level planning and real-time motor controllers • Build simulation, tracing, and replay systems for observability, validation, and failure analysis

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working on, and ideally architecting, a large-scale robot code base running on real hardware in production • Strong software engineering skills in Python and Rust, or C++ with willingness to move to Rust • Knowledge of types, testing, concurrency, and clear architecture • Experience in one or more of motion or path planning, multi-robot coordination, controls, perception, and scheduling • Hands-on experience applying LLMs or vision-language models to robotics, or strong drive to do so • Experience using coding agents • Willingness to visit factories in the US and UK • Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, Claude and OpenAI APIs, OR-Tools, PostgreSQL, OpenTelemetry, and ClickHouse is relevant to the stated stack
