📋 Description

• Design and build backend services orchestrating and managing database clusters in ClickHouse Cloud • Extend the Ruby, Go, and TypeScript platform control plane to support new PostgreSQL capabilities • Contribute to PostgreSQL extensions and data-plane agents written in C, C++, or Rust • Build automation and tooling for cluster provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management • Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, and product teams on operational excellence, performance, and reliability • Develop APIs and integrations exposing new PostgreSQL functionality to customers and internal systems • Improve observability, deployment safety, and debugging workflows for database services • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and on-call rotations • Identify opportunities, drive execution, and deliver meaningful impact

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in software engineering • Experience building or operating database or cloud platform systems is ideal • Deep understanding of PostgreSQL configuration, extensions, operations, and performance tuning • Strong programming experience in one or several of Ruby, Go, Rust, C, or Python • Willingness to work across languages • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD • Understanding of distributed systems, data replication, and service orchestration patterns • Comfortable with greenfield development and operational ownership • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills • Ability to operate with autonomy and a founder’s mindset
