• Own the financial strategy, reporting and controls for the business • Lead and develop the finance team of two, building capability and driving efficiency and innovation • Drive AI, automation and systems transformation across the business • Build forecasting models, management information packs and KPI cadence • Lead the annual budgeting cycle and ongoing cash flow forecasting • Review the company cost base and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability • Manage banking relationships and support debt servicing and covenant management • Provide board-level reporting and governance discipline • Partner with Product and Commercial teams on pricing and commercial value levers • Advise the CEO on capital allocation, including dividends, reinvestment and debt paydown • Support the design and implementation of a future employee equity (EMI) scheme • Build financial foundations and team capability for sustained growth • Report directly to the CEO and work closely with him on financial strategy
• Experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a B2B organisation, ideally events, exhibitions, media or subscriptions • Experience in a business that has undergone a genuine scale journey • Experience in a growth or private equity-backed environment • Mature, partnership-oriented approach to working with a founder-led leadership team • Proven experience managing and developing a small finance team • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and cash flow management skills • Board pack and management information discipline • Comfort bridging finance and commercial/product decision-making • Fluency with AI and modern data tools • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar systems is a bonus, not essential • Exposure to exit planning and/or EMI or other equity incentive schemes is a bonus, not essential
