📋 Description

• CommunicateHealth is a growing health communication firm focused on health literacy and inclusive design • Mission: advance health equity by designing health information that is easy to access, understand, and use • Team designs clear, accessible, and inclusive health communications to help people make informed decisions • Although there are no specific opportunities now, the company is expanding its network of freelance writers and editors in anticipation of needing freelance support this year

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced freelance writer or editor with a background in health communication or public health • Ability to translate complicated health information into clear, actionable content following health literacy and plain language best practices • Interest in joining CommunicateHealth’s small network of independent contractors who take on occasional writing/editing tasks • Application materials requested: resume • Application materials requested: at least 1 writing sample showing lead-writer skills for a health-related audience (digital or print) for government, foundation, professional organization, non-profit, or health-related business clients • Application materials requested: your hourly rate • Application materials requested: availability (start date, approximate hours per week, other availability details) • Application materials requested: at least 1 reference who can speak to your freelance work
