📋 Description

• Open an expansion office in San Francisco • Lead building consulting teams and oversee complex projects • Engage past client relationships from the insurance and construction industries • Facilitate business development and marketing events for new client acquisition • Provide construction expertise for residential, commercial, and industrial projects • Perform on-site inspections after property damage, including scoping notes, photo documentation, and measurements • Develop estimates for all levels of project complexity • Produce DBI reports including BDRs, ROMs, RCCs, and CSIs • Determine team composition and partner with People & Culture on workforce planning • Recruit, hire, lead, and develop construction consultants for property damage evaluations • Oversee project scopes, budgets, KPIs, time entry, invoices, and team deliverables • Drive consistency in estimating, workflow, documentation, and quality standards • Support company initiatives and improve processes, tools, and team capabilities • Represent DBI professionally during site visits and client interactions • Work at property damage or loss sites, potentially during evenings, overnight periods, and weekends

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field • 15+ years of experience within building consulting and/or construction management projects • Strong client relationships from the property insurance industry • Strong estimating and project management experience with Xactimate, Bluebeam, P6 or MS Project • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate findings clearly • Comfortable working in the field, including roofs, heights, tight spaces, and post-loss environments • Motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about construction • Valid driver’s license • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the workweek • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including a ladder • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and feeling • Close visual acuity and sufficient vision to prepare reports, use computer terminals, read documents, make detailed inspections, perceive color and depth, and perform inspection duties
