📋 Description

• Provide 1:1 coaching sessions of 30 minutes or less and ad hoc support during office hours • Communicate with learners in English and Somali when needed • Coach learners on remote job searches, online freelance and gig platforms, remote-work expectations, and interview preparation • Conduct mock interviews in English • Share weekly asynchronous updates covering wins, learner flags, and announcements • Attend bi-weekly team syncs with the Correlation One operations team • Respond to learner messages on Pumble, Slack, and email within 24 hours • Log notes from coaching meetings • Update job-search and placement status for all cohort learners monthly • Provide feedback on resume drafts, LinkedIn profiles, final resumes, and relevant freelance-platform profiles • Work alongside Teaching Assistants and the Correlation One operations team to support learner employment outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Professional working proficiency in both Somali and English, spoken and written, with executive-ready communication skills • A 4-year degree or equivalent experience • 2+ years of professional experience in career development or coaching, recruitment, professional counseling, or program management focused on job seekers • Experience guiding adult learners or job seekers and building trusting relationships with them • Experience delivering career coaching fully remotely • Familiarity with how remote and international hiring works, including online job and freelance platforms • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision • Proactive problem-solving and close attention to detail • Comfortable with Google Workspace, Zoom, Pumble, Slack, and new tools • Ability to reliably meet learners during East Africa Time (EAT) program hours • Preferred: experience in data, technology, or AI-related recruiting or careers • Preferred: Arabic proficiency and familiarity with Maay as well as standard Somali • Preferred: familiarity with the Somali labor market and practical barriers young Somali job seekers face
