📋 Description

• Implement the Project Procurement Strategy from Client PPQ stage through mobilisation following successful project award • Act as the Procurement & Supply Chain point of contact throughout the Client tender process • Ensure compliance with Costain Way policies, procedures, and standards • Lead and manage work-winning and bid procurement • Support the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in delivering project, procurement, and supply chain objectives • Assist bid teams with procurement strategies and supplier selection to help win projects • Support estimating in developing price build-ups and transferring bid-stage intelligence into project delivery • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships • Ensure supply chain assurance meets group, project, and package requirements • Assist with procurement and supply chain processes, inclusiveness, diversity, and sustainable procurement objectives • Support bid teams in developing responses to P&SC technical competency questions • Maintain professionalism and efficiency during periods of pressure • Ensure procurement is ethical, transparent, fair, innovative, and focused on best value

🎯 Requirements

• MCIPS qualified or working towards CIPS qualification • Significant procurement and supply chain experience supporting Client tenders, bid winning, or estimating • Working knowledge of digital procurement tendering systems • Demonstrable negotiating skills and securing best value outcomes • Excellent communication and influencing skills • Experience working on infrastructure projects • Experience using electronic tendering tools, e.g. Jaggaer and SourceDogg • Experience working on civil engineering projects • Practical approach and logical thought process • Knowledge of office management systems, including document control • Strong analytical skills • Legal, contractual, and construction knowledge • Confidence and ability to assert influence • Knowledge and application of NEC contracts • Ability to maintain a measured approach in a dynamic environment • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (desirable) • Other accredited certifications in procurement or supply chain management (desirable) • Experience working within a matrix organisation (desirable) • Knowledge of Costain Procurement and Supply Chain Management systems and requirements (desirable) • Previous knowledge of Frameworks projects and associated procurement practices (desirable)
