• Define and prioritize the product backlog to reflect business value, market trends, and customer requirements • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and align on priorities • Translate objectives into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria • Serve as key contact between local and remote development teams to ensure clear communication and execution • Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, design) to refine features and deliver user experiences • Leverage health insurance and policy servicing domain knowledge to guide product development and ensure market relevance • Stay informed about health insurance regulations and compliance requirements • Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives • Provide guidance to development team, address roadblocks, ensure focus on priorities • Define and track KPIs to measure product success and identify improvements • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product innovation • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as voice of the customer • Drive the product roadmap for the policy servicing module, balancing short-term deliverables and long-term strategy
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner (minimum 60 months) • At least 3 years focused on insurtech or health or life insurance systems • Demonstrated success managing end-to-end product development in complex, multi-stakeholder environments • Strong understanding of health or life insurance products, policy servicing, and regulatory requirements • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Proven expertise in Agile methodologies, backlog management, and using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Trello • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making experience • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and experience collaborating with design teams • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Miro, Figma) • Self-starter with ownership and accountability • Comfortable working in a distributed team environment and managing competing priorities • Passionate about health and life insurance industry innovation
