• Manage and deliver end-to-end procurement exercises from initial requirement through to contract award and implementation. • Provide professional procurement advice and guidance to Council Officers and stakeholders. • Ensure all procurement and contractual activities comply with relevant public procurement legislation, regulations, and Council standing orders. • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support service objectives and deliver value for money. • Prepare and review tender documentation, specifications, evaluation criteria, contracts, and procurement reports. • Lead supplier engagement activities and manage tender processes through appropriate procurement portals and systems.
• Significant experience managing the full end-to-end procurement process. • Proven experience working within a Local Authority or Public Sector procurement environment. • Degree-level qualification in Procurement, Business, Law, Public Administration, or a related discipline; or Professional procurement qualification such as CIPS Level 4 or above. • Evidence of continued professional development within procurement.
• Remote working: This role is likely to be conducted in a predominantly remote manner, with any occasional site visits arranged by prior agreement. We operate on a bi-weekly schedule.
