📋 Description

• Review project contracts and vendor agreements for controls-related requirements • Review and validate electrical drawings, data flow diagrams, network designs, signal mappings, electrical power models, and control narratives • Maintain and organize technical documentation within SharePoint • Coordinate documentation flow with vendors and project stakeholders • Develop batch scripts and automation tools for data collection and operational efficiency • Serve as a technical resource for customers, EPCs, utilities, equipment vendors, and internal project teams • Troubleshoot network and communications issues within VPN-secured environments • Respond to customer and operator requests regarding system modifications, troubleshooting, and control system enhancements • Support site commissioning activities and controls-related tasks • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, project requirements, safety protocols, and company policies

🎯 Requirements

• Educational background in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial control systems within electrical generation, renewable energy, or similar power system environments • Experience with Modbus, DNP3, and TCP/IP • Strong understanding of industrial networking, including IP addressing, subnetting, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network communications • Experience with SCADA systems, plant control systems, or utility-scale automation • Experience with inverter-based resources such as Battery Energy Storage Systems, solar, or other renewable generation technologies is considered an asset • Exposure to substations, protective relays, and transformers is preferred • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams • Ability to travel up to 10–15% nationally and internationally • Commitment to safety, ethics, and sustainability
