📋 Description

• Supervise the Transport Operations Team and driver team • Plan company and third-party resources daily • Allocate drivers and vehicles to loads efficiently, considering holidays, sickness, drivers’ hours and WTD regulations • Plan driver start times to meet site dispatch KPIs • Communicate proactively with third-party hauliers to ensure collection times are met • Liaise with shunting operations for pre-loading and unloading • Communicate accurate start times, load information and directions to drivers • Ensure orders are dispatched and delivered in the correct condition according to customer specifications • Advise collection or delivery points of delays • Achieve and maintain service levels with other departments • Allocate equipment to meet maintenance and service intervals • Follow health and safety policy and report accidents

🎯 Requirements

• Transport experience in an FMCG environment • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure • Ability to work as part of a team or individually • Knowledge and experience of tachograph, driving rules and regulations • CPC National desirable but not essential • Attention to detail and accuracy • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages • Ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines
