📋 Description

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with an Orthopedic Spine or Neurosurgery background • Expand Aetna’s medical management programs across the continuum of care • Support Medical Management staff with timely and consistent responses to members and providers • Lead utilization review and quality assurance activities • Direct case management • Provide clinical expertise and business direction through participation in clinical team activities • Act as lead business and clinical liaison to network providers and facilities • Support effective execution of medical services programs by clinical teams • Conduct predetermination reviews and reviews of claim determinations • Provide clinical, coding, and reimbursement expertise using multiple computer-based applications

🎯 Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in a health care delivery system, such as clinical practice or the health care industry • Active and current state medical license without encumbrances • M.D. or D.O. • Board certification in Orthopedic Spine or Neurosurgery • Post-graduate direct patient care experience specifically in Orthopedic Spine or Neurosurgery
