📋 Description

• Own additive metal development for patient-specific dental components, from prototype to scaled production • Develop and optimize print parameters, support strategies, and build orientations for laser powder bed fusion or binder jet systems to achieve micron-level dimensional accuracy, density, and surface quality • Integrate automation systems into additive workflows to achieve 24/7 “lights-out” operation • Establish process qualification and validation protocols, including density, mechanical testing, microstructure analysis, and dimensional control • Collaborate with R&D and design teams to improve manufacturability of patient-specific geometries while maintaining clinical fidelity • Lead root cause analysis and yield improvement across printing cells using structured problem-solving and statistical tools • Work cross-functionally with software, automation, and quality teams to build reliable, automated manufacturing lines capable of scaling to thousands of custom parts per day • Evaluate and qualify new additive platforms, powder suppliers, and metrology systems to expand Dandy’s manufacturing capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing, process development, or automation • Deep fluency in LPBF laser parameter development, scan strategy optimization, support generation, and thermal management • Experience developing or scaling post-processing workflows (heat treatment, HIP, machining, or surface finishing) for additively manufactured metals • Experience integrating automation and robotics into additive or finishing workflows • Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), process validation, and manufacturing scalability • A systems thinker who understands how digital design, additive manufacturing, and metrology interconnect • Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment
