• Review medical records • Prepare clear clinical summaries • Engage in peer-to-peer communications when necessary • Respond to client-specific questions related to spinal conditions, surgical and non-surgical management, causation, impairment, and disability in the context of workers’ compensation cases
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) • Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery • Fellowship training or significant experience in Spine Surgery preferred • Current, unrestricted New York medical license • New York Workers’ Compensation Board Certification required • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Orthopedic Spine Surgery • Ability to complete required orientation and training sessions • Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, and credentialing requirements
• Independent contractor (1099) role with flexible scheduling • Ability to select case types and workload based on availability • No physician-patient relationship is established; no treatment is provided—all reviews are advisory only • Streamlined case flow via a secure online portal • Administrative support provided, including medical record organization and case preparation • Fully organized records and relevant clinical guidelines provided for review • Training, ongoing support, and a dedicated point of contact provided
