📋 Description

• Plan and execute company-hosted events from venue sourcing through post-event wrap-up • Coordinate event staffing, shipping, setup, execution, and teardown • Manage vendor and venue relationships, including contracts and ongoing communication • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and event checklists • Track event costs, process invoices, and report expenses against approved budgets • Communicate event scheduling, status updates, and changes to program directors, staff, speakers, vendors, and leadership • Serve as the on-the-ground point of contact at events and handle real-time problem-solving • Manage event logistics, inventory, event materials, and vendor coordination • Support event promotion and brand consistency with the marketing team • Work cross-functionally with marketing, growth, delivery, and leadership • Defense Unicorns delivers secure, cloud-native software integration and delivery solutions for public and private enterprises

🎯 Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in corporate event planning • Experience supporting government conferences, military events, or federal customers • Strong project management and organizational skills • Exceptional attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and adapt when priorities shift • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience working across marketing, sales, and external vendors • Willingness to travel as needed for events • Genuine interest in the mission to get software to warfighters • Highly organized and reliable follow-through • Comfortable shifting between planning work and event execution • Able to work asynchronously with a distributed team • Composed under pressure and receptive to feedback • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot is a nice-to-have • Travel 4–10 times per year to attend events and in-person meetings
