• You are in charge of an Engineering watch on board of a TSHD, CSD or split barge • You will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all technical installations on board • You carry out duties according to STCW regulation • Maintain and repair the technical equipment on board according to instructions of the Chief Engineer • You operate the main and auxiliary machinery and the associated control system • You assist the First and Chief engineer for the efficient and safe running maintenance of the equipment • You maintain a safe engineering watch • You observe the quality, health, safety and environmental system
🎯 Requirements
• You completed a maritime education in Engineering • You have a Certificate of Competency Officer in charge of an Engineer watch (III/1) or Second Engineer (III/2) • You have an STCW VI/6 Security Awareness or VI/6 Designated Security (preferable) • A valid Passport, Seamans Book and Seafarers Medical should be obtained • You have a strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment • You have a hands-on and no nonsense mentality • You speak and write English fluently
