📋 Description

• Research, design, and deliver robust machine learning solutions across pricing and shipping • Build solutions spanning prediction and decision-making under business constraints • Lead productionisation and scaling of models with ML and backend engineers • Identify requirements from stakeholders across Pricing and Shipping • Lead machine learning solution design for applied business problems • Set up and conduct large-scale experiments to test hypotheses and guide model and product improvements • Ensure statistical rigour and real-world applicability of experiments • Keep up to date with applied research and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and ML best practices • Apply new techniques for prediction, causal inference, and optimisation • Participate in technical whiteboarding, planning, and roadmapping • Communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences • Take ownership of high-impact projects, lead technical direction, and mentor others

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience working as a Machine Learning Scientist, with a proven track record of delivering and scaling models that solve complex, real-world problems • Deep understanding of machine learning concepts and experience applying them in production settings • Experience using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or gradient boosting libraries • Experience with causal inference, uplift modelling, or optimisation under constraints • Strong Python skills and ability to write clean, modular, production-grade code • Solid understanding of data engineering and MLOps principles • Ability to lead end-to-end ML projects and work independently in ambiguous problem spaces • Experience mentoring junior team members • Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Bonus: experience with pricing models, promotions, incentive allocation, or revenue optimisation • Bonus: experience with experiment design and A/B tests • Bonus: experience with bandits, reinforcement learning, or explore-exploit approaches • Bonus: experience with Databricks and PySpark • Bonus: experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud platform
