📋 Description

• Monitor rejected and denied claims to determine root causes and resolve or prevent future errors • Maintain documentation and files for patient account interactions in the Revenue Cycle Management System • Record representatives/patient names, conversation dates and times, reference numbers, telephone numbers, insurance benefit details, and follow-up information • Answer questions from coworkers and staff • Participate in facility and departmental communication through daily email review • Develop, maintain, and provide workflows and training for billing vendors • Ensure claims are appealed or reprocessed correctly • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 2+ years’ experience in medical billing and/or AR follow up • Coding certification through AAPC preferred • Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills • Well-developed organizational skills and basic office operations knowledge • Ability to evaluate patient situations and make timely decisions with minimal supervision • Proficient computer skills and accurate data entry • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel • Basic internet proficiency • Knowledge of or willingness to understand insurance guidelines and requirements • Current knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS usage • Ability to review documentation to obtain basic procedural and diagnosis codes • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
