📋 Description

• Design, build, and support Discord's next-generation experimentation platform, including core services, data pipelines, configuration tooling, statistical analysis tools, and UX • Collaborate with external, sometimes non-technical, stakeholders and customers throughout Discord • Understand and influence product telemetry practices to support experimentation needs • Build delightful user experiences and high-scale data systems powering internal teams and product features used by millions of users daily • Collaborate with stakeholders across Discord to experiment on features, machine learning models, and more • Lead and mentor engineers, fostering their growth and enhancing their skills

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a full-stack SWE • Experience building internal tools • Familiarity with A/B testing and statistical frameworks • Experience with experimentation tooling • Extensive experience leading complex technical projects with successful outcomes • Experience building systems with strong data governance controls that respect privacy and security principles • Proficiency in Python and SQL • Experience with and/or exposure to relational, NoSQL, and data warehouse datastores • Strong product sense and communication skills • Track record of developing engineers at multiple levels • Habit of tracking industry trends and bringing new techniques to technical problems • Experience building core parts of experimentation platforms from scratch is a huge plus • Experience with Typescript or Rust is a plus • Experience building human-in-the-loop AI systems and AI product evaluation is a bonus • Experience with cloud-computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS is a bonus • Experience with modern data processing stacks is a bonus • Full-stack development or product engineering experience is a bonus • Deep understanding of statistics, data science, or large scale data processing is a bonus
