• The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America’s premier luxury wine company. • The New York Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving maximum sales potential throughout their assigned territory. • Deliver and achieve budgeted sales goals for the region. • Communicate monthly depletion targets and programming calendars with wholesalers. • Maximize sales potential measured by budget and by percentage of wines sold in that region. • Set goals, oversee activities, review performance, and provide direction for District Managers in the territory. • Increase market demand and acceptance with distributor through targeting and opening of new accounts. • Stay alert to distributor trends in the market. • Stay active in the wine community through frequent networking with industry peers and key wholesaler personnel. • Work with their direct manager to develop and implement specific strategies in each market. • Recommend and implement decisions based on results of analysis that enhance the equity of the brands. • Create and manage monthly regional operational and sales budget.
• BA in Business or related field. • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in wine industry. • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills. • Advanced knowledge of wine industry pricing strategies and market dynamics. • Technology capable, especially Microsoft Office. • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. • Must possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state car registration, insurance, and a clean driving record. • Must be at least 21 years of age.
