• Lantern is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our healthcare technology team as a core member of the architecture team. • In this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of software testing principles, automation strategies, and quality engineering to design and implement robust, scalable testing frameworks for backend services, web applications, and mobile apps. • You will collaborate with architects and engineering leaders to define and uphold best practices in test automation, drive the adoption of modern testing tools and methodologies, and ensure comprehensive test coverage across all layers of our platform. • You will be hands-on in developing automated tests using Java, Selenium, and API testing frameworks, integrating these solutions into CI/CD pipelines on Azure Cloud and GitHub, and utilizing tools like BrowserStack for cross-browser and mobile automation. • Your expertise in backend and API testing, test design, maintainability, reliability, and performance will be critical, as will your ability to mentor other engineers and champion a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and technical excellence throughout the organization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation, with significant exposure to the healthcare domain. • Strong programming skills in Java (C# or Python is a plus). • Hands-on experience with Selenium, API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured), and backend test automation. • Experience with Azure Cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub for version control and automation. • Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar platforms for cross-browser and mobile testing. • Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR). • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and reliable test automation frameworks. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers in testing best practices. • Knowledge of performance and security testing in regulated environments is highly desirable.
