• Critical thinking skills and an ability to apply professional judgement to solving complex problems. • Emotional and social intelligence. • Exceptional writing skills and the ability to self-edit. • The ability to follow instructions, pay meticulous attention to details and understand why that matters. • A commitment to going the extra mile and an obsession for delivering on quality. • Genuine curiosity, openness to learning, and desire to ask questions. • The readiness to be a team player and interested in working in a flexible, intrapreneurial-style work environment. • Developing complex multi-year, multi-variable economic and/or financial models. • Conducting financial reviews, assessments, and analysis, including options identification and analysis, cost-benefit analysis, benchmarking, activity-based costing, scenario modelling, and project or program benefit realization. • Developing executive-level presentations, highlighting key issues, risks, and opportunities. • Using written and verbal methods to communicate complex concepts and analysis to decision-makers. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Having experience with assessing financial reporting for public sector entities and recommending cost management strategies and funding models is an asset. • Completion of a recognized accounting designation or other relevant education such as MBA or BA/BSc in Economics (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). • All our staff are expected to be actively engaged in business development, so an understanding and experience with nurturing and landing new business.
