📋 Description

• Design, create, and implement real-time particle effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematics using 2D and 3D elements • Author and paint particle, decal, and material textures (color, normal, specular, emissive, etc.) • Build simple geometry with correct UVs for VFX use • Collaborate with Design, Art, and Engineering to ensure effects enhance gameplay clarity and visual identity • Place and tune VFX throughout environments, encounters, and cutscenes to support player experience • Optimize effects for performance and readability without sacrificing artistic quality • Maintain consistent visual style and quality while contributing creative solutions to technical challenges • Provide peer feedback and support documentation or process improvements for the VFX pipeline

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience creating real-time VFX in games • Strong technical proficiency with real-time engines • Understanding of particle systems, shaders, timing, and motion principles • Proficiency with relevant software such as Photoshop, Houdini, EmberGen, or similar tools • Artistic sense for composition, color, and visual readability • Experience optimizing VFX for both console and PC performance • Communication and collaboration skills across disciplines • Ability to work independently in a remote team environment
