📋 Description

• Serve as the primary Ethics & Compliance point of contact for Global Government Affairs • Serve as the primary Ethics & Compliance point of contact for Import/Export/Trade Compliance • Support global Conflict of Interest Disclosure Program implementation, policy updates, technology/AI improvements, disclosure campaigns, and monitoring • Manage vendors and coordinate budgets for COI tools and systems • Lead global COI disclosure training and communications • Conduct and consult on higher-risk COI evaluations • Serve as subject matter expert for COI investigations • Ensure integrity and responsiveness of COI intake systems and case assignment processes • Drive supervisor training compliance and maintain compliant COI program materials globally • Provide E&C guidance on business strategies, lobbying, political contributions, export controls, sanctions, and customs • Support implementation of the seven elements of an effective compliance program defined by the Office of the Inspector General • Influence leaders across Global Government Affairs and Import/Export/Trade Compliance to foster a culture of compliance • Partner cross-functionally with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Privacy, Protect Lilly, Finance, Procurement, and Human Resources • Communicate risk considerations to leadership regarding new capabilities and innovative business practices • Lead annual risk assessment and monitoring plans; influence mitigating actions, CAPAs, and CAPA execution • Establish effective training and communication lines • Adapt to enforcement agency actions and local code guidance • Share external trends and E&C metrics with leadership • Support investigations of potential non-compliant activities and corrective/preventive actions • Lead or support broader E&C priorities as they emerge

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Ethics and Compliance • Minimum 3+ years of experience in government affairs/lobbying compliance, or trade compliance • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas • Experience in leading conflict-of-interest frameworks, disclosure systems, or COI evaluation processes preferred • Familiarity with Lextegrity is a plus • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree preferred • No compliance violations over the last 12 months • Ability to consistently apply good judgment • Ability to collaboratively influence decisions and outcomes • Ability to effectively communicate, lead, and motivate change across all organizational layers • Strategic thinking and ability to operationalize strategy • Ability to translate ambiguity and complexity into actionable frameworks • Ability to work across boundaries and influence without authority • Demonstrated leadership skills, including critical thinking and results orientation • 5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry preferred
