📋 Description

• Lead the team building the software layer connecting EVs, chargers, solar, and batteries • Enable optimization across fleets of homes and within individual homes • Own the team's technical vision end to end • Partner with the product team to create an ambitious roadmap • Define and uphold high engineering standards • Shape strategy, product bets, and roadmap with the CTO • Participate in the engineering leadership team beyond the team's immediate scope • Lead AI adoption in building, shipping, and operating software • Hire, develop, coach, and grow team members • Set clear expectations and hold people accountable with empathy and firmness • Delegate meaningful ownership to the team • Challenge stakeholders, plans, and CTO decisions constructively • Build trusted relationships across engineering, product, and leadership • Provide and receive direct feedback

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years managing engineers • Values that will not be compromised, even when costly • Driven and ambitious, with consistently high standards • Good judgment about simplicity versus justified complexity • Experience leading remote, distributed teams • Comfortable shaping decisions at the engineering leadership-team level • Experience building AI products that meaningfully contributed to team success • Effective stakeholder collaboration • Strong opinions, loosely held; willing to change position based on evidence • Genuine interest in the energy transition and this specific problem • Proactive problem identification and resolution • Able to help people do better work • Able to discuss past mistakes and lessons learned • Player-coach or management-only approach both welcome • Ability to work in CET ±3h time zone
