📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end response to high-severity security incidents, coordinating containment and recovery • Conduct post-incident reviews and act as senior technical lead during P1/P2 events • Design, develop and optimise SIEM detections • Maintain MITRE ATT&CK coverage and identify monitoring gaps • Operationalise threat intelligence and support vulnerability management activities • Develop playbooks, automated response workflows, alert enrichment capabilities and tool integrations • Act as primary escalation point for Security Operations • Mentor analysts and support threat modelling activities • Provide security input into architectural and engineering decisions • Own operational metrics and performance reporting • Communicate risk to stakeholders and contribute evidence and control monitoring for compliance • Improve detection and response capability, reduce false positives and strengthen security posture • Support security assurance for projects and embed monitoring requirements into new services and platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience operating within a Security Operations, Cyber Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Incident Response role, with responsibility for leading complex security investigations and major incident response activities • Strong hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, including detection engineering, alert tuning, correlation rule development, coverage mapping, and continuous improvement of monitoring capabilities • Demonstrable experience leading security incidents from initial triage through containment, recovery and post-incident review, including stakeholder management during high-severity events • Practical experience applying the MITRE ATT&CK framework to detection engineering, threat hunting, investigations, threat modelling, or security control assessment • Experience developing or supporting security automation and orchestration workflows, including playbooks, automated response actions, and integrations between security tools • Experience with cloud security technologies, endpoint detection and response (EDR/MDR) solutions, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management processes • Strong communication skills to translate technical security risks, threats and vulnerabilities into clear business-focused recommendations • Experience mentoring, coaching or providing technical leadership to junior analysts • Ability to support ISO 27001, SOC 2 and NIS2 compliance requirements
