📋 Description

• Act as the PostgreSQL Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the organization, leading architecture, performance tuning, automation, and high-availability strategies. • Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL clusters in Google Cloud (AlloyDB, Cloud SQL). • Configure and support replication, HA/DR (streaming, logical, Patroni), backup, recovery, and failover mechanisms. • Automate key administrative tasks using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery and change management. • Implement and integrate with Ensono and Client proactive monitoring and observability frameworks (Google/AWS-native tools, Data Dog, BMC) to ensure high performance and uptime. • Lead end-to-end migration efforts from Oracle to PostgreSQL/AlloyDB — including assessment, schema conversion, data transformation, validation, and tuning. • Leverage tools like Ora2Pg, AWS SCT/DMS, and custom migration frameworks to automate and streamline migration tasks. • Collaborate with Client application and internal infrastructure teams to coordinate testing, downtime planning, and post-migration performance validation.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive database administration experience, with 5+ years of deep hands-on PostgreSQL experience in production environments. • Proven success leading Oracle-to-PostgreSQL or Oracle-to-AlloyDB migration programs in enterprise-scale settings. • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (AlloyDB, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, GCS) with working experience in AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL. • Proficiency in SQL optimization, query tuning, indexing, and storage architecture. • Solid foundation in Linux system administration, network troubleshooting, and security compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2). • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to manage complex technical initiatives across teams and time zones.
