📋 Description

• Deliver habitat creation and enhancement projects safely, on-time and to budget • Work closely with ecologists and land managers to plan and deliver habitat creation works across the region • Create and enhance woodland and scrub, species-rich grassland, wetland, and associated infrastructure • Continue involvement across the national nature network, managing the success of habitat banks as they develop • Review ecology design for successful implementation • Write or review the management section of the Habitat Management Plan and Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan • Provide activity schedules to the project manager for integration into the programme • Write specifications for key habitat-bank materials, such as seed and fencing requirements, for procurement • Meet contractors on site, set them to work, and manage contractor KPIs • Review Construction Phase Plans or equivalent, including Incident Response Plans • Review delivery methodology and provide input to the project risk register

🎯 Requirements

• Educated to a degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent work experience • Knowledge of the principles and practice of habitat creation/restoration and management • A track record of delivering nature recovery projects • Experience of working within a budget and within a set time frame • Experience of working directly with farmers and/or landowners, in a professional capacity • Experience of working with contractors • A Health and Safety qualification, e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH (desirable) • Full UK clean driving license and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events (desirable) • Experience in rural land management (desirable)
