📋 Description
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines using AWS services • Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion and transformation • Work across structured and unstructured datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity • Design and implement data lakes and data warehouse solutions on AWS • Build and maintain data marts using dimensional modelling (star and snowflake schemas) • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform • Integrate CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices using Azure DevOps • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards • Produce clear documentation of data architecture, pipelines, and standards
🎯 Requirements
• 10+ years’ experience in Data Engineering or related roles • At least 5+ years working extensively in AWS • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including: S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC • Proven experience designing and implementing data lake and data warehouse architectures • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Spark for data processing and transformation • Solid experience building data marts and applying dimensional modelling techniques • Experience implementing IaC using Terraform • Exposure to DevOps practices and tooling, particularly Azure DevOps • Experience with version control systems such as Git • Strong problem-solving capability with attention to detail • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Engineer, or DevOps Engineer • Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment • Exposure to large-scale, enterprise data platforms
