📋 Description

• Own and deliver medium-to-large platform projects from implementation through production • Build and maintain internal platform services and tooling that improve developer experience and delivery velocity • Partner with application teams to unblock delivery and align platform capabilities with developer needs • Drive cloud cost efficiency and optimization across cloud and infrastructure • Improve operational excellence through observability, automation, and incident response • Evolve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based workflows • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response • Work across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD systems, and internal developer tooling • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Security, Infrastructure IT, and other platform teams • Define standards and best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering • Proficiency with Python and Java • Deep Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge • Proven CI/CD and GitOps experience • Infrastructure as Code expertise with Terraform • Strong AWS and cloud-native experience • Experience operating distributed, high-availability systems • Ability to deliver defined projects independently • Clear communication and strong collaboration skills • Must be living in the UK or Ireland to apply • Fanatics does not offer sponsorship • Familiarity with Kotlin and Go is a plus • Experience with internal developer platforms or tooling is nice to have • Exposure to regulated or high-availability environments is nice to have • Backend development experience is nice to have • Familiarity with observability and reliability engineering practices is nice to have
