📋 Description

• Investigate potential fraud or financial crime involving crypto rails, including payment fraud, account takeover, and money laundering typologies on crypto on/off-ramps • Build crypto-specific fraud investigation capability, including on-chain tracing methods, tooling, and documented processes • Train the wider Fraud team on crypto fraud red flags and typologies • Design prevention and detection approaches for crypto-related fraud and financial crime • Work with vendors to optimize crypto investigation tooling and data • Support wider fraud and financial crime investigations • Lead relevant escalations to law enforcement • Contribute expertise to loss prevention strategy across Fraud, product, and payments • Report to the Head of Fraud

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years investigating fraud and/or financial crime with specific crypto/blockchain exposure • Experience from an exchange, blockchain analytics firm, bank crypto desk, or law enforcement crypto unit • Experience designing or improving investigation techniques • Familiarity with crypto investigation tooling such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, and Elliptic • Ability to build crypto-specific fraud investigation capability • Ability to act as a subject matter expert and train the wider Fraud team • High ownership and comfort working without an established playbook • Ability to work across Fraud, product, and payments
