📋 Description

• Respond to inbound telephone inquiries in a Claims Contact Center • Initiate auto and homeowner claims by obtaining preliminary loss information from agents, insureds, and third parties • Explain the claim process to customers • Authorize services such as roadside assistance and rental cars when appropriate • Complete customer inquiries regarding the status of existing claims efficiently and accurately • Clearly and accurately document all customer interactions in claim files • Maintain job knowledge through intermittent training and learning • Take inbound calls remotely for auto and home claims, motorhome incidents, and roadside assistance • Guide customers through the claims process and set clear expectations • Collaborate within a supportive team environment under the direction of a supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required • Proficient in both written and spoken English • Spanish bilingual candidates must be fluent in reading and speaking Spanish for the pay differential • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills • Personal accountability for actions and outcomes • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Strong technical aptitude and ability to navigate multiple systems, computer screens, and communication platforms simultaneously • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues if needed • Typing speed of at least 30 WPM with 90% accuracy • Customer service experience highly preferred • Remote contact center experience is a plus but not required • Must reside within 50 miles of a designated Farmers corporate office • Must provide own chair and desk and maintain a dedicated workspace free of noise and distractions • Ability to operate a computer for extended periods, up to a full work shift • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to a full work shift • Physical dexterity to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and office equipment • Ability to listen to, interpret, and differentiate auditory information at normal speaking levels • Ability to visually verify, read, and locate information • Ability to occasionally bend, twist, pull, stoop, and move or lift objects weighing 0–10 pounds
