📋 Description

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers across a range of sectors • Generate quality vacancies, work placements, apprenticeships and other employment opportunities • Understand employers’ recruitment needs, workplace culture and progression opportunities • Develop a pipeline of vacancies and actively match participants to suitable opportunities • Use creative approaches such as reverse marketing to open up opportunities • Support participants throughout recruitment, from identifying roles through interviews, job starts and beyond • Agree effective onboarding arrangements, workplace support and reasonable adjustments with employers and participants • Carry out strengths-based vocational profiling to understand participants’ skills, aspirations, experience and barriers • Provide practical support with job searching, applications, CVs and interview preparation • Connect participants with specialist services and community organisations • Provide in-work support to help people settle into roles, overcome challenges and sustain employment

🎯 Requirements

• Ideally have experience in recruitment, employer engagement, business development, sales, account management, employability, employment services or another employer-facing role • Ability to build trusted relationships with employers and other stakeholders • Ability to identify employer needs and turn conversations into recruitment opportunities • Ability to match people effectively to vacancies and support successful recruitment • Confident communication and ability to influence a wide range of people • Ability to network within the local business community and develop new employer relationships • Ability to manage multiple employers, vacancies and participants while staying organised • Ability to work towards performance targets and contractual outcomes • Understanding of local labour markets and factors influencing recruitment • Experience of welfare-to-work, employability, supported employment or working with people facing barriers to employment is valuable • Experience working with young people, apprenticeships or skills pathways is valuable • Willingness to travel and conduct outreach across North Lancashire
