📋 Description

• Lead long-duration BESS projects through pre-construction, FID, construction, commissioning and handover to Operations • Manage the pre-construction phase following planning and development or acquisition of a ready-to-build asset • Lead the internal project team through FID with focus on programme • Support planning discharge and landowner engagement activities • Capture value-engineering opportunities with the in-house design team • Support procurement and legal teams through tenders and contract negotiations • Lead early works packages ahead of main contract signatures • Own the risk register, master project schedule and project budget • Align the project team on actions, timescales and responsibilities • Manage construction safely against time, quality and budget targets • Promote health and safety culture across projects • Manage construction contracts, including BESS supplier, BoP contractor, TO and grid-compliance packages • Deliver client responsibilities under construction contracts • Prepare project-management documents and reports to business standards • Lead commissioning and energisation planning with engineering resources and contractors • Coordinate revenue-readiness activities with commercial operations • Assess construction-schedule impacts on revenue streams • Support onboarding and integration of Asset Management contractors • Close out construction defects and settle final accounts • Report to the Head of Delivery and collaborate with Engineering, QHSE, Procurement, Legal and Development

🎯 Requirements

• Managed at least 2 onshore renewable energy projects through FID or construction • Excellent practical project leadership skills • Strong commercial understanding and experience managing various contract types • Experience managing FIDIC contracts would be an advantage • Thorough understanding of construction safety law and CDM regulation • Detail-oriented, resilient, execution-focused and highly engaged • Proven stakeholder management skills • Willingness to learn and take ownership • Ability to create collaborative and cooperative project-team environments
