📋 Description

• Design and implement features and performance improvements across Orchestration services, including the scheduler, execution harness, and results processing • Develop, maintain, test, and optimize high-quality code and critical performance paths • Write technical designs, seek feedback, and explain trade-offs • Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests • Improve test coverage and reduce technical debt through refactoring • Troubleshoot and debug production issues, including post-mortems and mitigation plans • Break features into tasks, execute project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning • Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers • Participate periodically in the on-call rotation and maintain security awareness • Use AI tooling to accelerate development and create or review SDLC artifacts

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the software industry, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up • Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts • Ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code • Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work and explain design trade-offs • Ability to identify design flaws and propose improvements • Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing • Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C# • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Docker/Kubernetes • Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite • Familiarity with Datadog or Grafana is a plus • Fluent in using AI code assistants, coding agents, and conversational AI for SDLC artifacts • Experience in ETL/ELT and/or cloud-based data platforms is a bonus • Experience with schedulers, workflow orchestration, job queues, or distributed task execution systems is a bonus • Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services is a bonus • Familiarity with analytics engineering and the dbt ecosystem is a bonus
