📋 Description

• Own pursuits across federal and state agencies once For People decides to pursue them • Build and execute a call plan for each pursuit • Meet with program offices, contracting officers, and potential partners to understand mission, budget, incumbents, and pain points • Convert customer and competitor intelligence into win strategies, win themes, and differentiators • Engage customers through RFIs, sources-sought responses, capability statements, and demos • Identify and onboard teaming partners and subcontractors to address capability or past-performance gaps • Lead bids through go/no-go and gate reviews • Direct proposal teams through color-team reviews through submission • Work with leadership on pricing and price-to-win • Manage multiple pursuits simultaneously • Help leadership review agency forecasts for promising opportunities • Capture lessons learned after each decision, whether win or loss • Travel nationally to client locations, partner offices, and industry events

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in government capture, business development, or a closely related role • Experience owning a pursuit or bid response from qualification through submission, including win strategy, color-team reviews, and pricing • Comfort working directly with government stakeholders and partners • Ability to build relationships at agencies where the company does not yet have them • Hands-on approach and eagerness to learn • Ability to juggle several pursuits at once and remain calm under deadline pressure • Strong writing skills • Technical literacy sufficient to discuss software modernization and data platforms • Comfort using AI tools for research and first drafts • Experience at CMS, HHS, or the broader federal health community is desirable • Experience capturing work at agencies addressing social determinants of health is desirable • Familiarity with GWACs, IDIQs, and agency BPAs is desirable • Track record on small-business, 8(a), or full-and-open pursuits is desirable • Must physically perform all work within the United States • Must be a United States citizen • Must be able to pass a government-performed public trust background check • Humble and caring attitude aligned with For People's values: passion, fun, curiosity, sustainability, humility, and respect
