📋 Description

• Provide consistent, person-centred support to children and young people in their homes and local communities • Provide respite, short breaks and community-based support • Support communication, emotional regulation, confidence and independence • Help children access meaningful activities and opportunities • Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and agreed strategies • Complete clear records and communicate with families and managers • Work with a small number of children and families as part of a consistent team • Offer flexibility across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends according to service needs

🎯 Requirements

• Full UK driving licence • Access to a reliable vehicle • Willingness to travel • Business-use motor insurance • Experience supporting autistic children or children with learning disabilities, SEN or SEND • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or a related subject is sought • Applicants without a Level 3 qualification may be considered with strong relevant experience and willingness to develop • Calm, dependable and relationship-focused approach • Good communication, observation and record-writing skills • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends • Ability to offer availability across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends • CV and supporting statement outlining relevant experience, preferred contracted hours, general availability and Dorset area
