Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority is a nonprofit women's collegiate organization that builds confident women of character through sisterhood, leadership development, philanthropy, and community engagement. It supports collegiate members and alumnae with leadership programs, scholarships and financial aid, volunteer and alumnae engagement opportunities, housing guidance, and national events while promoting inclusion and anti-hazing policies. The organization also raises funds and partners on philanthropic initiatives such as Building Strong Girls and runs a foundation to manage giving, donor recognition, and grants.

📋 Description

• Coach collegiate BEDI chairwomen in assigned region to create, implement and evaluate their chapter’s annual BEDI action plan. • Annually audit current chapter practices, plans and governing documents and coach chapter leaders in creating and implementing inclusive changes in alignment with requirements outlined in the Collegiate Chapter Operations Manual (COM) and other Gamma Phi Beta resources. • Recommend BEDI educational opportunities to the chapter including, but not limited to, Fidelity online lessons, community partners and/or campus professionals. • Annually educate chapter leaders on how to use the Bias Incident Report Form. • Collaborate with the bias incident response team, when necessary. • Hold BEDI chairwomen accountable to completing all responsibilities in Beta Base. • Ensure each chapter in assigned region appoints chapter members to serve on the BEDI Committee, to include at least one member from each academic class. • Serve as the primary BEDI resource for assigned region’s volunteers, advisors and collegians.

• Travel: Volunteers in this role will be expected to travel 2-7 days per year. • Complete all Fidelity volunteer online lessons and other required training. • Be an active member of the BEDI team.
