📋 Description

• Write approximately 10 to 15 pieces each week across email, social media, campaigns, and internal channels • Write subject lines, campaign emails, registration reminders, donor appeals, and ongoing communications • Create captions, carousels, short video scripts, and paid social copy for Gather, Gather27, and IF • Lead copy development for major announcements, speaker reveals, registration launches, and giving campaigns • Maintain consistent messaging across channels while adapting writing to each platform • Develop and maintain a voice guide with examples • Review and edit copy from staff, partners, and agencies • Turn stories from churches and individuals around the world into emails, social posts, campaigns, and donor communications • Adapt stories to different audiences and purposes • Give readers clear next steps, such as hosting, praying, giving, or getting involved • Test subject lines and calls to action at least twice a month • Review email engagement, clicks, registrations, and conversions in HubSpot • Share findings with the Director of Marketing and apply learnings to future campaigns • Work closely with Design, Storytelling, Development, and Partnerships teams • Report to the Director of Marketing

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional copywriting experience • At least 3 years writing email and social content for a brand, nonprofit, or ministry where results were measured • Portfolio demonstrating range across long-form donor letters and nurture emails, short-form subject lines and captions, and scripts • Ability to maintain a consistent brand voice while adapting messaging for pastors, donors, and first-time followers • Experience using audience insight and performance data in HubSpot or a similar platform, including segments, A/B tests, click reports, and conversion reports • Ability to tell real stories from the field with dignity and accuracy across cultures • Ability to write plainly enough to translate well • Personal, thriving relationship with Jesus Christ • Alignment with Gather's mission
