• Provide technical support on FAT and site issues • Communicate technically with customers and suppliers to present and discuss analyses • Support the factory on design- and material-related issues • Lead design reviews and ensure products follow design, quality, and manufacturing best practices • Identify and address design risks • Support the transfer of designs to manufacturing • Ensure design processes meet quality gates and applicable quality controls • Execute design quality gates and controls according to internal procedures • Analyze quality data, determine corrective actions, and monitor improvements • Identify and implement lessons learned in future designs • Update manufacturing capabilities and tolerances and ensure they are considered in design • Support introduction of new designs into manufacturing • Ensure CTQ identification and implementation • Lead standardization and modularization efforts • Research industry improvements to continuously improve designs
• Deep technical knowledge of transformer electrical (transmission) and mechanical design • Extensive transmission transformer manufacturing knowledge and experience • Significant demonstrated experience working within HVDC projects, typically gained in 10/15 years • Demonstrated experience in FEA analysis • Extensive continuous improvement and quality process knowledge and experience • Solid knowledge and experience with site and FAT issues, RCA, DFMEA, testing, standardization, and modularization • Focus on quality excellence and early risk identification and mitigation • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities • Creative, innovative, and forward-thinking mindset • Strong attention to detail • Proactive problem-solving approach
