• Prepare and analyze monthly financial data, including assets, liabilities, and payroll entries. • Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and proper reporting. • Track program costs, revenue, and funding to ensure accurate expense allocation. • Maintain comprehensive accounting records in compliance with federal and state regulations. • Support accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management. • Assist in preparing audit documentation and coordinating external and internal audit activities. • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline the monthly close process and improve internal controls. • Assist with government and funder financial reports and filings as needed. • Provide technical expertise and support to management and other departments. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practice implementation within the accounting function. • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. • Active CPA certification preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. • Experience preparing audit schedules and supporting external audit processes. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite or similar ERP systems. • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
