GlobalPETS is a global trade media and industry platform focused on the pet products and services sector, publishing PETS International magazine, a weekly newsletter, and online news and analysis. It offers market trends, country reports, product spotlights, an industry directory to connect business partners, event listings, and advertising services aimed at industry professionals, retailers, manufacturers and suppliers.

📋 Description

• Own the planning and delivery of GlobalPETS’ flagship events, including the established European Forum and the new US edition. • Develop strong event programs by choosing relevant industry topics, securing speakers, and shaping agendas for senior pet industry executives. • Manage logistics from start to finish, including venues, hotels, AV, catering, suppliers, transport, attendee communications, and on-site execution. • Lead both strategic planning and hands-on event operations, moving between big-picture programming and detailed delivery. • Build the US edition using the European Forum as a proven playbook, while adapting it for a new market. • Work closely with the Managing Director, operations team, sponsors, partners, speakers, and external suppliers. • Travel a few times per year for site visits, trade shows, and live event delivery. • Join a fully remote B2B media company serving the international pet industry.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience running events end-to-end, not just supporting individual parts of the process. • Strong program development experience, including creating content and agendas for senior or executive audiences. • Ability to identify relevant industry topics and turn them into sessions, speaker ideas, and networking opportunities. • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail across timelines, spreadsheets, run-of-show plans, badges, suppliers, and attendee experience. • Confident managing vendors, negotiating with suppliers, and keeping logistics on track. • Strong problem-solving skills when suppliers go quiet, speakers cancel, timelines shift, or last-minute issues appear. • Excellent relationship-building skills with senior executives, speakers, sponsors, partners, suppliers, and internal teams. • Highly proficient or native-level English. • Hands-on mindset and willingness to manage both strategy and practical execution. • Comfortable working remotely, ideally from CET or a nearby timezone. • Pet industry knowledge is a plus, but not required.
